# luxurydice

> luxurydice makes luxury dice for Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games. Each piece is turned and milled from solid metal bar stock (titanium, brass, bronze, copper or blackened stainless steel), engraved, enamel-filled and finished by hand. Every set is made to order. There is no online checkout and no public price list: customers send a request with their email address and luxurydice replies personally with the price and lead time.

## How to order

1. Choose a piece and a metal on https://luxurydice.com/#pieces and add it to your request.
2. Send the request with your email address (and optional notes on engraving, finish or deadline).
3. luxurydice replies by email with the price, lead time and any questions before machining starts.

### The Imperator

- Type: Six-sided dice (d6)
- A cube with softly radiused edges and deep, enamel-filled pips. Opposite faces add up to seven, as on every proper d6.
- Size: 16 × 16 × 16 mm
- Edge radius: 1.0 mm
- Pips: Ø 3.2 mm, 0.8 mm deep
- Weight: 18 g in titanium, 33 g in brass, 35 g in bronze, 36 g in copper, 32 g in blackened steel

### The Aurelian

- Type: Ten-sided dice (d10), numbered 0–9
- Ten kite-shaped faces meeting at two points. The numbers are engraved deep enough to read by touch, and the 6 and 9 are underlined so they are never confused.
- Size: 22 mm point to point
- Width: 19.1 mm
- Numbers: 0 to 9, 0.5 mm deep

### The Nocturne

- Type: Percentile dice (d10), numbered 00–90
- The tens partner to the Aurelian. Roll the two together and read them as one number from 1 to 100, for wild magic, loot tables and critical hits.

## Metals

- Titanium (Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V)): density 4.43 g/cm³, hardness ≈ 340 HV. Light in the hand and cool grey. It will not tarnish.
- Brass (Lead-free CW724R): density 8.3 g/cm³, hardness ≈ 160 HV. Warm gold with real weight. Darkens to a soft patina as you play.
- Bronze (Phosphor bronze CuSn8): density 8.8 g/cm³, hardness ≈ 180 HV. Deep amber, dense and quiet when it lands.
- Copper (Cu-ETP (C110), 99.9 %): density 8.94 g/cm³, hardness ≈ 90 HV. Rose-red when new. It browns gently with handling.
- Blackened steel (316L stainless, black oxide): density 8 g/cm³, hardness ≈ 200 HV. Near-black and very hard-wearing. Resists corrosion.

## How they are made

- Op. 10: a length is sawn from certified bar stock.
- Op. 20: the blank is faced on a lathe and squared on a milling machine.
- Op. 30: faces and edges are milled to size within ±0.02 mm; edges are radiused.
- Op. 40: numbers and pips are engraved, enamel-filled and polished back; each set is weighed, checked and signed.
