What custom means here

We do not sell a fixed catalogue off the shelf. Each custom set starts as a request: the piece, the metal, and your notes about engraving, finish or deadline. We read every request ourselves and answer personally.

That keeps custom dice honest. If an idea will not engrave cleanly at this size, we say so and suggest what will, before any metal is cut.

Pick the piece

Six-sided dice (d6); Ten-sided dice (d10), numbered 0–9; Percentile dice (d10), numbered 00–90.

Pick the metal

Titanium, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Blackened steel. Nothing is plated or painted.

Add your notes

Engraving, finish, quantity or a date. Leave them in the request and we reply with the details.

Why custom dice should be metal

Engraving looks sharper in metal because the numbers are cut, not moulded. On our dice the numbers and pips are engraved up to 0.8 mm deep, filled with enamel and polished back, so they stay crisp and can be read by touch.

Questions

Can I have custom dice engraved with my own text?

Send your wording in the notes of your request. We tell you what can be engraved on each piece and metal before any machining starts, so you never pay for something that cannot be made.

How much do custom metal dice cost?

There is no public price list. Each custom set is quoted by email after you send a request, so the price matches exactly what you asked for.

How long do custom dice take?

We give you the lead time in our reply, once we know the piece, metal and engraving. If you need them by a date, say so in your notes.

Which metal is best for custom dice?

Titanium: Light in the hand and cool grey. It will not tarnish. Brass: Warm gold with real weight. Darkens to a soft patina as you play. Bronze: Deep amber, dense and quiet when it lands. Copper: Rose-red when new. It browns gently with handling. Blackened steel: Near-black and very hard-wearing. Resists corrosion. Every metal can be engraved and enamel-filled.

Are metal dice bad for tables?

Metal is harder and heavier than resin, so use a dice tray or a felt mat. Titanium is the lightest of ours at 18 g for a d6. Copper is the softest metal (≈ 90 HV), so it shows handling marks sooner.

What is the difference between custom metal dice and cast dice?

Cast or resin dice are poured into a mould. Ours are turned and milled from one bar of certified metal to within two hundredths of a millimetre, then engraved, enamel-filled and polished back.
